Summary: The Terminal Operations Manager reports to the Country Director and the CEO, Manages and maintains a safe effective, and efficient fuel farm operation, ITP, and Retail, ensuring strict HSE and operational compliance to all relevant legal, company, customer, airport and Industry (applicable) standards..

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Major Hazard-related Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of the MAPP.
• Ensure the delivery of training and periodic assessment of competence.
• Ensure the equipment is maintained and controlled effectively.
• Implementation of the key risk control systems.
• Ensure the competence of employees and contractors.
• Organizing the process of identifying major accident hazards and assessing associated risks during the life cycle of the installation.
• Responsible for regular inspections of all facilities according to JIG, Company and HSSE requirements. This includes regular inspections with, either, the Deputy Terminal Operations manager, Country Operations Manager, Supervisor or Operators.
• Facilitate effective communication within the operations and maintenance teams.
• Control of un-normal situations and mitigation of emergencies.

Operational Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensures that product stocks are maintained at acceptable levels to meet the demand of daily airport throughputs.
• Ensures that the operation of the fuel farm facilities, and airport systems are operated and maintained in accordance with recognized agreements and standards.
• Ensures compliance with SKA business principles for the management of HSS&E at MGQ Airport.
• Ensures that engineering and maintenance work in the tank farm system are carried out safely, completed on time and within budget.
• Provides daily support for the needs of all administrative and operational duties required for the daily operations of facilities.
• Ensures that the Company, European Legislative standards and MGQ Airport Ltd standards are applied and maintained at all times. This involves regular meetings with Company representatives and the airport authorities.
• Involved in applying Company HR policies, and employee relations and responsible for the recruitment of new operating staff.
• Assists with the preparation of budgets.

Metrics

• Understand financial accountability for purchasing materials and services for OPEX and CAPEX
• Responsible for staff including 2 X Admin, Deputy Terminal Ops Manager, 1 X Terminal Operations Supervisor, 1 x Maintenance Supervisor and 12 x Operators responsible for into-plane fuelling operations, tank farm operations. Plus, contractors carrying out maintenance duties.

Qualifications and Experience

• A working knowledge of Aviation Operations and people management skills gained through Operational experience.
• Demonstrable experience in Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
• Computer literate.
• Fuels Supply/Distribution Logistics, product handling and control.
• DSEAR and EI, JIG understanding.
• Depot Operations and Asset Management.
• HR & Interpersonal Skills
• Fuels Technical Services
• Valid driving license with LGV C+E. (ADR + CPC are desirable)
• Holds professional membership.
