DevOps Administrator

About the job

Telesom Company is looking for an experienced DevOps Administrator at Hargeisa who will be responsible for the development and support of Applications and their underlying environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Define and manage the infrastructure (servers, networks, databases, etc.) required to run the application using code-based tools and technologies.
Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using scripting languages to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of manual errors.
Install and configure application services and monitor resources and application performance.
Set up monitoring systems to track database metrics, detect anomalies, and trigger alerts for proactive issue resolution.
Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of the application and infrastructure, and implement optimization strategies to improve responsiveness and scalability.
Quickly identify, investigate, and resolve production issues and service interruptions, minimizing downtime and ensuring high availability.
Manage the data lifecycle, including backup, recovery, and archiving strategies, to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data.
Analyze database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.
Implement and improve the security of applications and data in compliance with international standards.
Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices, and continuously seek opportunities to improve the overall DevOps workflow and processes.

Qualifications

Qualification: Bachelor of ICT
Working Experience: 3 years of proven experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Bash Script, Go, Rust, Nodejs, Java, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)

Competencies

Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization, monitoring)
Strong background in database administration and optimization
Proven of working experience of Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Bash Script
Understanding of data modeling and database architecture
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Continuous learning and adaptation to emerging technologies
