The RNPO Engineer will be responsible for planning, testing, analyzing, and optimization of the radio network, maintaining the target key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying critical areas that require improvement.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Tuning the radio network to achieve and maintain the target key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitoring and analyzing the performance of the network, detecting the performance degradations and formulating the proper corrective actions.
- Conducting different types of drive test, analyzing log files and recommending radio optimization actions using drive test tools "TEMS investigation, TEMS discovery, Nemo Outdoor and Nemo Analyze".
- Sites data collections, revising the sites/cell physical design, and recommending modifications including cell location, antenna type, height, azimuth and tilts.
- Handling and resolving of customer complaints.
- Coverage, quality, and capacity analysis and troubleshooting.
- Resolve issues related to expansion, SW upgrade, cutover and migration activities in coordination with deployment, wireless and core sections.
- Analyze of daily worst cells using Huawei U2020, parameters re-tuning for coverage optimization, Nbr optimization and handover stats improvement.
- Develop process used on radio network side, re-engineering existing processes to deliver effective results.
- Make benchmarking reports using Actix and TEMs discovery and identify field signal jammer using Seahawk Collect and coordination with FAB team for tis removal to save KPIs and maintain customer retention.
Qualifications
- Qualification: Bachelor of Communication Engineering, ICT or related field
- Working Experience: 1 year of proven experience in RNPO.
Competencies
- Understanding the theory of RF and cellular communications
- Solid understanding of RAN architectures and technologies.
- Familiarity with radio network planning and optimization.
- Proven working experience in any of drive test tools (such TEMS and PHU).
- Able to conduct drive tests and resolve customer complaints.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous learning and adaptation to emerging technologies
- Attention to details and ability to work under pressure.
