Role Description
- Identifying opportunities for import export & sales (Freight Forwarding, Clearing and NVOCC)
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, focusing on both new and existing clients.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with customers and agents/carriers and air/lines, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
- Coordinate with operations and customs teams to ensure seamless execution of shipments from origin to destination.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, showcasing the company's services and value proposition.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that drive sales initiatives.
- Coordinate with Sales Managers across the group to promote the location's growth from various origins.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in international shipping, NVOCC/ Agency, Freight Forwarding & Logistics is a must.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills to effectively communicate value propositions.
- Proficiency in freight management software and CRM tools is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- A proactive, results-driven attitude with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
- Previous working experience in Somalia or Ethiopia is an added advantage
